أجلت السلطات الهندية أكثر من مليون شخص من المناطق الساحلية لولاية أوديشا شرق الهند مع وصول إعصار قوي إلى اليابسة اليوم.

وذكر بيشنوبادا سيثي مفوض الإغاثة الخاص في أوديشا، إن الإعصار ” فاني” بدأ يصل إلى اليابسة بالقرب من منطقة بوري السياحية الشهيرة وسيستغرق المرور فوق المنطقة ما بين ثلاث إلى أربع ساعات.

وقال المتحدث باسم البحرية الهندية دي.كي شارما، إنه من المتوقع أن تضعف العاصفة التي تتراوح سرعتها ما بين 160 إلى 180 كيلومترا وستتحرك شرقا نحو البنغال الغربية وبنجلاديش.

وتم إلغاء ما لا يقل عن 147 رحلة قطار كان من المقرر أن تسير على طول سواحل ولاية أندرا براديش والبنغال الغربية وأوديشا، كما تم تعليق رحلات جوية من بوبانسوار، عاصمة أوديشا، لمدة 24 ساعة.
