يتم إجلاء الآلاف من السكان فى الفلبين، حيث يهدد إعصار “مانغخوت” القوى حياة أكثر من 4 ملايين شخص فى شمال البلاد.

احتفظ إعصار “مانغخوت” بقوته الشديدة، وتحول قليلاً نحو المقاطعات الساحلية ذات الكثافة السكانية المرتفعة الجمعة مع اقترابه من شمال شرقى الفلبين، حيث كان يجرى إجلاء كبير.

وهناك أكثر من 4 ملايين شخص معرضون للخطر من العاصفة التى يصنفها مركز الإنذار المشترك للأعاصير الذى يتخذ من هاواى مقراً له كإعصار خارق ذى رياح قوية وعواصف معادل لإعصار من الفئة الخامسة فى المحيط الأطلسي.

وكان من المتوقع فى البداية أن يضرب الحافة الشمالية لمقاطعة كاغايان فى وقت مبكر من يوم السبت، ولكن من المرجح الآن أن يصل اليابسة أبعد جنوباً وأقرب إلى مقاطعة إيزابيلا ثم يخترق “سلة الخبز” الشمالية .
